An ICF Home - Stages of Construction

E-mail Print

If you are interested to see the beginning stages of an Insulated Concrete Forms home please take a moment to browse through this project gallery.  A few things to note:  the wondows, seams, and walls are braced for additional support during the initial stages of the pour, the concrete hose can be extended high into the sky to cover long distances and tall walls, the rebar reinforcements are visible as this is only the basement and partial first floor of the home, and concrete doesn't always pour out in a smooth stream (but our guys ensure that the site is clean before they leave.)

If you have questions about the ICF process or would like to see the walls being built - drop us a question and we'd love to invite you to our next jobsite.

Please feel free to browse project gallery of this home located on Green Mountain.

What are SIPS? "Structural insulated panels (SIPs) are high performance building panels used in floors, walls, and roofs for residential and light commercial buildings. The panels are typically made by sandwiching a core of rigid foam plastic insulation between two structural skins of oriented strand board (OSB). Other skin material can be used for specific purposes. SIPs are manufactured under factory controlled conditions and can be custom designed for each home. The result is a building system that is extremely strong, energy efficient and cost effective. Building with SIPs will save you time, money and labor."  For More Information on SIPS Contact Us or visit www.sips.org.

Testimonial from our Customer:

"Hey Danesh, On April 13, at 2 am, we had a gravity wave go thru with 60-80 MPH straight line winds.  It blew over five large pine trees on my property, with three of them hitting our new ICF home.  One of the trees hit the corner of our home and went through the roof.  It was right over ...'s bed room.  It hit so hard that it broke all the filaments in the light bulbs in the attic.  When it went through the roof and hit the ICF wall it bounced off the house.  I am sure it would have tore down the wall and hit ... as he slept, if it was not for the ICF.  Thank you for building a superior home and keeping my family safe."  - The Long Family
